WASHINGTON, May 18, 2011 – Innovative Solutions Group and the U.S. Forest Service were proud to present the award-winning ePermitting-Remote Wireless Program at the annual ACT-IAC Management of Change Conference in Hot Springs, Virginia.

ISG CEO Gary Cline said he was particularly proud the project, which won ACT-IAC’s 2011 Excellence.gov Award, was honored in the ‘Enhancing the Customer Experience’ category.   A Presidential Executive Order issued in April mandated streamlined service delivery by federal agencies.   “Government managers have been tasked to utilize private sector best-practices to deliver customer services faster, better, and at a lower cost,” said Cline.  “The ePermitting-Remote Wireless Project fulfills President Obama’s Executive Order.  ISG is currently exploring similar projects in the commercial industry, such as music festivals in remote regions that don’t yet provide connectivity. ”

“This project had everything,” said Andy Leiber, Excellence.gov judge and Director of Business Development for Hitachi Consulting.  “It leveraged off-the-shelf technology and interagency collaboration to deliver improved services to whitewater enthusiasts as well as enhanced safety benefits.  It best fulfilled the requirements for the ‘Enhancing the Customer Experience’ category.”

The 2011 Management of Change Conference was held May 15th through 17th at the Homestead Resort.  For more information or to schedule an interview, please call Donna Savarese at (703) 741-7861 or email Donna Savarese.
